MrBeast Marries Longtime Girlfriend Thea Donaldson in a Private Island Wedding

YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has officially tied the knot with his longtime partner, Thea Donaldson (formerly Thea Booysen). The couple celebrated their wedding in a private island ceremony surrounded by close friends and family.

MrBeast posted a series of beautiful wedding photos on Instagram, giving followers a glimpse of the intimate celebration. Along with the pictures, he wrote, “I found MrsBeast ❤️❤️❤️” and described the occasion as the best day of his life.

Private Wedding on a Tropical Island

The couple opted against a lavish celebrity wedding and opted for a small event at Richard Branson's Necker Island. The celebrations reportedly started on July 14 and lasted for almost a week, attended by about 70 members of the family and close friends.

There were several activities on the island for guests to enjoy during the celebrations, such as kitesurfing, snorkelling and more. The newly married couple then joined hands to dance to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga's hit "Die With a Smile”.

Thea Donaldson is a South African content creator, Twitch streamer and author. She is also a qualified lawyer and psychologist. She may be familiar to many fans as she has appeared in MrBeast's YouTube videos for the past few years. 

Their Wedding Looks

The couple chose timeless outfits for their special day. Thea wore an elegant white wedding gown designed by Nicole + Felicia Couture. Meanwhile, MrBeast opted for a classic tuxedo by Ralph Lauren. Her bridal look was completed by hairstylist Mikey Lu and stylist Jeremy Noig.

How Their Love Story Began

The couple first met in 2022 during MrBeast's visit to South Africa, where Thea lived. Speaking about their first meeting, Thea told, “When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was, and also how intelligent he was,” she said. She added, “I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he’s actually a nice guy. He wasn’t sitting there with an ego”

After returning home, MrBeast reached out to her through a direct message on X (formerly Twitter). Their friendship soon turned into a relationship, and they made their first public appearance together at the Kids' Choice Awards in April 2022.
