Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter Marry in Two Beautiful Ceremonies After Wimbledon

Australian tennis star Alex de Minaur and British tennis player Katie Boulter are officially married after several years together. Their wedding celebrations took place in two parts, combining a private family ceremony with a grand destination celebration in Italy.

Intimate Church Wedding in England

The couple tied the knot in a historic church in Leicestershire, England with only eight members of the family present. The wedding took place at the last minute, as both players missed Wimbledon. The newlyweds were able to enjoy a drink in the local pub after the ceremony with their loved ones.

Later, Alex and Katie held a bigger wedding party in Tuscany, Italy at the posh Borgo Santo Pietro estate. Extended family, friends and the tennis community all were invited to the multi-day event. They had delicious traditional Tuscan foods, a relaxed pool party with pizza and ice cream, and elegant celebrations.

Two Stunning Wedding Dresses and Vintage Car Surprise

Katie had two different wedding dresses for the occasions. She wore a dress from British fashion house Vivienne Westwood for the church in England. Here in Italy she wore a specially designed lace dress, created by Caroline Castigliano. Katie added a strand of fabric from her late grandmother's wedding dress to the dress, giving it a personal touch.

One unexpected moment came when Alex planned to drive the couple away in a vintage 1956 Porsche Speedster. However, the classic car refused to start twice in front of the guests. Alex later admitted the incident was stressful, although many guests believed he was joking.

Back to Tennis After the Wedding

The wedding falls in a crucial time for both of their careers. Alex had the career-best ATP ranking of World No.5 following his Wimbledon stint and was the first Australian to make the ATP top five since 2009. Katie is currently ranked World No. 68 and has just won her fourth WTA singles title this season.

After the celebrations, both have resumed their training and are now getting ready for the hard-court North American season. The couple will be well watched by fans as they enter into this exciting new phase together.
