ABOUT THE DESERT GYPSY GROUP

Founded in 1990, The Desert Gypsy Group is one of the most celebrated

Rajasthani folk dance troupes, representing the soulful traditions, music,

and colors of Rajasthan on prestigious stages across the globe.

Over the years, the group has showcased the essence of desert culture

through captivating performances, mesmerizing costumes, and authentic

folk expressions. From Kalbeliya to Ghoomar, each performance is a

cultural journey that preserves Rajasthan’s heritage while enchanting

international audiences.

International Performances & Achievements

Performed at the International Folk Fair in Rovaniemi, Finland.

Participated in the 16th International Bagpipe Festival in Strakonice,

Czech Republic.

Awarded Best Dance Performance of the Troupe at the 33rd Festival

“The World Cultures”, Gannat, France.

Represented India at the 53rd International Folk Festival Fair,

Agrigento, Italy and also at the 53rd Indian Independence Celebration.

Performed at the Baxter Theatre Centre (Cape Town), marking its 45th

Anniversary.

Starred in the Victoria Carnival at Mahé (Seychelles), 2012.

Received special appreciation from Hotel Eros, New Delhi (2012).

Featured in the Panel of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Represented India at Parramasala Festival 2015 in Sydney, NSW.

Performed in Nauru, Fiji, and Australia (Melbourne & Perth) during

their 2015 International Tour.

Long-term performances at Dubai Atlantis Hotel (2008–2013).

Represented India at the Paris Government Festival (ICCR) in 2006.

Featured in the grand BLVD World Festival, Saudi Arabia (2022–2025).
